Just changed the rear on my CCM supermoto, and the bloke in the KTM dealership recommended Continental Contiforce SM.
I have a Pirelli Dragon on the front, and I was a little concerned about mixed tyres, however, I was assured that the difference in tyres would make no difference to the ride and handling of the bike.
Bike and tyre manufacturers never recommend it as there could always be the element of doubt in the handling of a sports bike.
Anyway, the tyre is fitted to the rim, I went home put the wheel back in the bike and went off to scrub it in.
They always tell you to take it easy with new tyres, due to the silica coating that is part of the manufacturing process.
I did about the nominal 3 miles then started to put some decent lean angles on, talk about grip !!!!!
GRIP !!!! GRIP !!!! GRIP !!!!
They gripped harder than my missus and her purse !!!
So, if you have a supermoto and you need tyres, get the Continentals on there, and they are a reasonable £75 too !
