Comments welcome and this is my 1st poll to decide what to choose for my bike.  I know you guys have the experience and knowledge more than myself, so my trust is in your hands  :D You can also expect more polls from me when it comes middle of Spring time.

the pilot power is a good tyre straight out the box.  :jump  :jump

when warm there even better. :D

the only thing i can say to you is try 1  8)then next time ya need some try the other..  :down

we all have very different riding styles and all want different things out of a tyre...  :twistedhd

its all down to how you want the bike to feel  :D    i say try both  ;D

I've got Michelin Pilot Sports on my bike and have ridden through all kinds of weather during the winter months. I must say that I am very impressed with them so far, plenty of grip and very comfortable ride, although being a fairly new rider, I can't really compare them to anything else.

I,ve got Dunlop[ 208 rr,s on my bike and they are good in the wet or the dry, not that you can reach any limits on the shitty winter roads but come summer the Dunlops are excellent wet or dry.
If you exceed their limits on the road you should be racing, in truth it depends what you are happy with and any of todays tyres are more than good enough for the average rider and very few on here can really say whether they have the best tyres on their bikes.
I,ve tried avons and metzeller(excues the spelling) and the Dunlops were what i felt best on, use what the others as a guide and eventually you will feel a differance your self.
All road tyres today are good.

When I got my 04 R1 the dealer fitted a new stock Dunlop to the rear so I've been using that for a couple of years and will probably replace both tyres with a completely different brand this year because I want tyres with more grip.

I've only ever ridden on Dunlops, my previous bike was fitted with them too, apart from a test ride on a K5 GSX-R1000 which had BT014s and that handled really well, but that was probably the bike set up as well as the tyres.

A COUPLE OF YEARS :yikes

Okay, more like 18 months. ;) The rear just doesn't want to wear out.

I want to experience the grip of a softer tyre.
