I phoned the company to discuss the technical aspects of the tyres warmers.

To make people aware, the tyres warmers that you are getting come with an 80 deg C thermostat are only suitable for slick or race tyres.

For road tyres, they recommend warmers with a 60 deg C thermostat should be used.

I use Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs on the road and for trackdays, but do you class that as a road or a race tyre?

most people using tyre warmers are inter/fast group lad and I would say it was a safe bet to state that most if not all, use Supercorsa's/ Racetec/ Dunlop rr tyres so well suited to them

On the other side of the coin,  we do have trackdayers that run on road tyres, normally novice group but Ive seen fast lads out on them as well in spring and early winter.

I have even done 2 Oulton Parks with 2CTs on with warmers last Dec and early Feb and tyres felt spot on.

speaking to Holroyd today,

even the girl on reception cant believe we are still getting there tyre warmers supplied to forum members at the price that was quoted 3 yrs ago...  the ones supplied with there own name on is selling at a lot higher price.

maybe worth taking that as a warning of impending price rise so fill your boots specially as there less than half price of Diamond warmers  ;)

Would just like to inform people of buying these that i bought some ages ago and rear was the short type, sent it back for a replacement free of charge,
Used the new one first time at Oulton on 6th march and rear burnt the inside, probably caused by still being hot when removing, as they were switched off before removal, i sent it back to be checked and tested and they replaced it with a new one FREE

Their service is better than 1st class,

Don't think these are shyoite cos they're cheap, Holroyd almost go out theire way to help you,

Top fella's, couldn't recommend them high enough

Another thumbs up for the service. Ordered them Monday, the girl there asked if I was in a hurry for them. I told her it would be good if we got them by the weekend as we are off to Cadwell on Sunday. She couldn't guarantee delivery but she said she would do her best. Turned up Wed. morning.
Don't know about the shortening thing but I guess time will tell.

The new versions shouldn't suffer from it

Supermotoerers - with less power comes irresponsibility
