Blueflame Exhaust
« on: June 18, 2007, 10:45:27 AM »
I bought a blueflame exhuast for my 99 zx6r, i got the Stainless steel dual oval can cost me £204
Delivery wasn't great from bluflame but i did eventually get my can and fitted it myself, bluflame cans dont come with a gasket so had to use a high temperature silcoset. Fitted, it was time to test. i left both the removeable baffle and blanking plug in at first and my god what a sound! Absolutely amazing. took the baffles out and sounds even better (very loud and gargles when rolling off throttle at higher revs)
The baffles are secured with cir-clips which are a pain in the ar*e to remove, however its well worth the hassel. Have noticed smoother and slightly increased power/delivery.

Not had any problems with blueflame apart from slow delivery but all said and done there service is spot on. I have lost said clips before due to them flying of the circlip pliers and never found again but one call to them and they sent a bagfull free of charge next day delivery.
My duel oval used to be fitted to a zx10r and i thoght that was loud but now its on the aprilia and its F****** Very Very Loud  :yikes

Yeah they are great for sound, i keep looking for bridges and tunnels just so i can drop a couple and open up, god i love that can.
Yeah i have lost the circlip for the blanking plug but if they will send me some then great.
It was only the delivery that was slow everything else was spot on.
cheers :D

Agree with Every quote on this thread, i have used a blueflame can since i bought my first bike in 2002 and put it on a Fazer 600 (my only reason at time was because the boasted about the ROAD LEGAL stamp on can so no reason to remove for MOT 8)), then the end cans were slightly longer, i did develop a problem with mine, at the bottom of the can cracks started appearing, i informed blueflame and they told me to send can back to them for anaylsis, they reported back to me that it was a dodgy made can that slipped through there inspections, they quickly replaced me with a new end can, had the new one in place by now on my R1 this was some 2 years after first purchase.

Once again problem developed, i informed Blueflame who again told me to send it back to them, they then informed me that the reason why the cracks appeared is because the end can was too long so unnecessary vibrations were causing this, Blueflame being who they are and quoted a lifetime guarantee on their cans, they replaced the end can once more with a brand new shiny, Dual Powerport, Titanium round can, i also noticed that they had reduced the length of the can by a substantional amount, i have now had the can on for the last 1 year and a half and not developed any further problems with it.

I have never tried any other form of End Can from other manufactors, and probably wouldn't because of the good dealings i have had with BLueflame.  I would totally recommend to all.
