I have a mate who bought Pilot Power for his Suzuki 1200 Bandit and says they are superb. He has been riding for 20 years, so it must be true. If I was buying tyres today I would buy Pilot Power.

Thanks for the information. I asked on the R1 Forum and Pilot Powers are their owners' favourite for the R1 so I think that could be my choice. Having only ever ridden on OEM Dunlops on my ZX-6R then the R1 so I'm sure any of them will be an improvement.

mine came with 014's when i bought it last month. they must have been the original ones it came with. it had 2,300 miles on it, the front is hardly touched and the rear has a slight flattie in the middle.
in all my bike years my tyres have always worn together. the rear in the middle and the front near the edges.
ive only had the 014's let go a couple of times, they grip quite well.
im gonna throw some super stickies on when they are shot. i only use it for fun :D cant wait.

I only got 1400 miles on a rear on a CBR600RR..   ???

Super stickly thou! ;D

I thought i would get more miles from my 014 rear. have done 1400 miles and they may only last another 1000miles but are bloody good tyres. I do commute so that may be why they are getting a flat spot int he center :(

My rear 014 lasted aprox 3k miles. the front still had a fair bit left on her but decided to change both for some Corsa III's.
Not because they were bad tyres just fancied a change and something stickier for track. Found the 014s performed well on road and track  :D

How do you find the Corsa IIIs? I'm loving them on my R1.

The 020's will last longer but don't stick the same. Has anybody changed from 020's to 014's as I find the front is very light I know it won't let go but it does turn very quick. :scooter

So, thinking I like the 014's but what other make gives good wet and dry feel and grip but may last a bit longer?
