Super Corsa Font/Racetech Rear
« on: May 29, 2008, 09:06:14 AM »
Trying this combination on the ZX6 at the mo. First impressions seemed quite good - even with damp tarmac this morning.

The rear is a 190 too. Not what I wanted to fit but seens to work fine with no handling problems.

I'll let you know how they last.

Was worried about the cold morning/damp combination. Only ever used these tyres straight from warmers. Obviously didn't go crazy but no issues to talk of.  :D

Are Pirelli and Metzeler the same company (or owned by the same company)?
Superbikers - with great power comes great stupidity
Supermotoerers - with less power comes irresponsibility

Pirelli bought out Metzeler a number of years ago and rumour has it that the Supercorsa pro's and Metzeler Racetec are made on the same production line.

The difference in tread pattern is purely 'marketing' and the Metzeler Brandname remains as it's still held in high regard in important markets in Germany and Eastern Europe.

I've mixed and matched SC Pros with Racetecs for years without problems (and the earlier Rennsports/SC's)

Hippy's correct  :rofl

My mate (british straightline champion) is sponsored by PIRELLI and i quizzed the sale rep once

Last year you could get £40 off a pair of PIRELLI DIABLO 111's then the offer switched to METZELER SPORTEC M3's = same company
