I guess the same for all branches of Pro-Tyre but Bristol is where my experience comes from:

No longer repair ZR rated tyres.

Why are Z-rated tyres different to any other kind? Speed limit is still 70.

Speed Rating    Miles/Hour    Kilometers/Hour
N                    87                    140
P                     93                    150
Q                    99                    160
R                   106                    170
S                   112                    180
T                   118                    190

Speed Rating    Miles/Hour    Kilometers/Hour
U                  124                     200
H                   130                     210
V                   149                     240
Z                  150+                     240+
W                  168                    270
Y                   186                     300

THERE YOU GO M8.................................its the speed rating index, and who sticks to 70,if your theory was right then we would all be going round on N rated tyres, these are guidelines and tyre dealers do not want to be held responsible for tyres letting go after being repaired, personally i dont repair my bike tyres i just buy new if i get a puncture,i do repair them and sell them to my m8 who knows the score i just dont trust repaired tyres at the speeds i do....................

Common sense is a big chunck of what is missing in this world at the mo and  :down for knowing your limits and sticking to your guns.

I guess you see more tyres than most. I've tested on repaired slicks and ridden a few miles on repaired road tyres and never had a problem (doesn't mean it will never happen though). Can't say I'd be happy to repair a nearly worn-out tyre though.

One more question: If it's illegal should you be saying you repair them (nice to know if the opertunity arrises in the future though)?  ;)
