Just a quickie about AVON tyres customer service, last year I tried their new Viper Sports which I must admit I'm impressed with. Anyway, on the way to Skeggy MCN Bash i managed to aquire a puncture, about 30 miles short of destination, my breakdown recovery took me the rest of the way, then this is where the magic happened! I called every tyre dealer within 50 miles and most had'nt even heard of the vipers never mind stock them. So I then called Micheldever tyres all the way back down south (the company that fitted them. Also saints!) they asked for my contact number and said someone would get back to me. 20 minutes later i had a call from the UK north rep for AVON! He appologised for the puncture! and said that he would get a tyre shipped from the south up to Bognor that afternoon! AVON had a mobile unit come into the Butlins with my tyre and sorted me out with a free repalcement!
As if things couldnt get any better or worse depending on how you look at it, in November last year I was near Bristol when I got another puncture, this time however the tyre had done about 3000 miles so I didnt expect anything back. After sorting my own recovery I got necky and took the punctured tyre back to my local dealership and waddaya know, AVON replaced it free again!
I will 100% whole heartedly give top marks to AVON, they've definitely won a customer for the forseeable future! And their tyres arent bad either, especially the Vipers!
