I use an optimate but find that they are very fussy / quick to error - seems to be the multiplugs at fault as pushing it together like hell fixes the problem for a while.  A m8 has had exactly the same problem with his so must be a design fault?

starter relay is just buzzing. So, battery flat again.

Just wondering if i got this bit right?   Also the battery needs to be at 12.8v to crank?

If so how long would it take my brand new optimate to take it from 10v upto the required juice rate?

It takes about 3-4 days. I have had one conected to a bike for 2.5 years when I was working away (on the plus side of that I came back to a nice clean license) and no problems

 :thumbsup: on the Optimate. I have the Optimate 4 and never had a problem and is on 24/7.

Aldi have their Auto X-S smart chargers in again on October 8th £12.99, I`ve had one for about two years now a great piece of kit, I have NO connection with Aldi

none .. my bike is 6yrs old and still has the original battery
