newbie on tyres.
« on: February 28, 2006, 11:50:08 PM »
When i first got my bike it was on dunlop 207's nearly out of life, i never found them very comfortable and i wasn't very confident, didn't know what to put on being new to sports bikes, after reading numerous threads about corsa's and the like, i was just confused ??? surfing ebay one day i found an outlet selling continental road attack's, never really heard them mentioned but at £129 for a pair (120/17 + 190/17) (and i loved the tread pattern) i had to buy them, just scrubbed them in and i must say, "they are fan bloody tastic" bike turns in so easy and am getting it a long way over comfortably, obviously i'm no superbike rider but cant believe the difference in the tyres,
Take my hat of to conti.

It's amazing the difference a new set of tyres make to your riding when you've been using old knackered ones.
Changed my old Dunlops to Metzeler K2s and I now know I could kick that 'Rossi' blokes arse, but he wont answer my mails  8)  :P must be scared  :D

If they are as good as they reckon they'll be well worth a look next time I need some.   :D

doing that sort of mileage you could do a lot worse than Bridgestone BT020s

not the stickiest of rubber but I had them on my 9R when I was doing high mileage and they were even OK for a couple of trackdays (though a bit scary)
Thought for the day:  Never hold your farts in.  They travel up your spine and into your brain and that's where shitty ideas come from!
