Anyone used these?

How do you rate them?

I'm currently using Pilot sports but after only 6 weeks I have to get a new rear....That's only roughly 3500 out of the rear tyre 

Is it worth paying the extra £30-40 over the pilot sport rear?

Can I really expect much more than 3500 miles out of a Road 2?

Anyone used both the sports and the road 2's to honestly compare them for me?

Am I asking too many questions yet?

I've got these fitted to my 750 and they are fine, only had the bike about 4 weeks but, not caused any problems, i've put about 1000 miles on them and they dont look like they have worn at all yet, plus my mate had a go on the bike and he said he thought they were pretty good, cant say much else really, they were fine in wet and when i have been going a bit quicker in the dry they have stuck like glue.
All in all i think they are spot on, but then again all i have to compare them against is dunlop qualifiers.

Someone on another forum was saying they've got 7000 miles our of a rear on an R1 and it's still going strong, so it looks like they're pretty good for wear as well

I got a road on the rear and a sport on the front. The rear has been on since the TT rideout at Preston. So nearly 2 years. Done about 7k including 2 wet trackdays. They have always seemed ok to me but i don't ride too hard on the road. They are now due changing and i have a set of pilot sports to replace them with.

That's even better Andy as that's exactly what I'll be running, the sport on the front and the road 2 on the rear

If you want anything like the mileage that you've had out of the road 2 then don't put the sport on the rear.....I've got about half of your mileage to my rear sport (Still a bloody cracking tyre just not good for big mileage )

I already got the tyres (got them from a link you put up before christmas) just got to get round to fitting them now.

nothing wrong with 3500 out of a rear.

seeing as you do track days anything has to be a step up from the pilot sports. i found sports to be good, but when they stepped out it was anything but predictable.

sports are cheap beacuse they are old tech and not being made anymore as far as im aware. so be careful that if you do get some they arent really old stock.

i think you cant go wrong with the road 2's (pilot power grip on the sides) seeing as though you commute a lot to work.

Well my road 2 arrived today so if his lordship ever gets home in time he can fit it for me tonight

Well I've only done 50 miles on it so far.....Half motorway and half twisties 

I have to say I'm liking it so far! I had a couple of slides due to going further over on a brand new tyre than I maybe should have done  but I knew what was happening and there was no danger of losing it.

I've got maybe 10mm each side to wear off before I get home.....I might just manage it 

Looks like a good choice so far
