cresent racing in verwood
« on: May 21, 2009, 11:23:09 AM »
recently i used Suzuki Cresents in Verwood for tune up, i arrived 10mins late exactlly, which i duely appologised about but was stil met with an obnoxtious receptionist obviously already having a bad day and continued to rant at me on how i have now messed up the whole days work Schedule. My bike was wheeled in 20mins later where the mehcanic duely proceeded to lean against it and chat on the phone for a further 20/25mins then worked on bike ie. plugging power commander in for about 15mins and went back to his phone and a mate for chin wag for best part of an hour+. 3 hrs later power commander fitted and dyno complete. then i was duely releived of £190 and power graph slapped on table and i wa sent on my way. Would of been nice if a little customer service had been shown and a chat about the Dyno run !!! so new or understood what improvements have been made by there No1 engine tuner !!! still while i was waiting i had good look at there items for sale, Hell get a bank loan if you wana come here for parts!!!

they have never had a great rep but they seem to survive on their link with BSB etc, loads of peeps there on open days cos they get the names in for signings etc, would nevr buy anything cos it seems so much more expensive.

Isn't Cresent something to do with Paul Denning (Race chief at Rizzla Suzuki MotoGP).

I'm sure his family own it - probably explains how he can get the 'stars' to turn up  ;)

general impression I get whenever crescent is mentioned is the same as above, however I tend to find most big name places are pretty much the same and just survive on the new customers who have heard the big name and not repeat business from happy previous customers.

pretty much the same when I went out to buy the R1, walked around all the local big yammy dealers, talking loudly with a mate about how much I had, what I was planning on doing to it, the kit I was going to replace etc. (all in front of plenty of salespersons), didn't even get a hello, let alone a do you need any help there etc.

in the end I went back to fowl ups and brought it through my mate who works there in the scooter department, even though I didn't want to give them my business really.

it's about time we had a decent chain of biker run dealerships don't you think?

Hiya all, new to forums... Ride Suzuki, Buell and Honda... Want my 1/2 pennies worth... Love the guys at Crescent, ride down from Woking just to use them, always looked after well... Sure they're a big dealer, sure there is some big dealer attitude at times, but I stay loyal to them, they look after me... We all know this country is f'd up by the f up twins of Brown and Darling and customer service is sadly lacking in all manner of retail and customer driven businesses, yet I think my loyalty to crescent has paid off, always say hello at BSB and get treated well there and at shop - So I say Hurray and thanks to all at Verwood....!!!!
Oh, finally, think Josh Brookes should ave a more significant punishment for totalling Guintoli and taking some of the spice out of this years BSB !!!!!!!!!!!   Seeya

Hi and welcome Ollie :wave why not go and intro yourself in newbies.  :D

As for Crescent I do think most have a poor experience than have a good one.
I rang a few times to get help with lowering the gixer and was messed around a fair bit. They'd do it, they wouldn't do it, they'd custom it, oh not they won't they'd stick a lowering kit on it.  :twistedhd  I lost interest in the end and went to Kais instead and got the real deal, very professionally done.  :D
