AGV k3
« on: June 02, 2009, 03:49:58 PM »
Got this lid yeaterday and used it for about three hours and just thought i'd share some inital thoughts  ;D

Had a caberg trip which was only really bought for while i was taking my lessons last year. So it was time to replace after a slight accident with the chin strap and a hot exhaust pipe :-[

The k3 was reasonably priced i paid 139 pound with a free tinted visor from racevisors, I've found it much lighter and alot more comfy. Still a fair bit of wind noise but as i ride with plugs anyway its not a problem.
My main problem with my caberg was misting up on the way home from work at 6 am. The agv had no such problems and the airflow though the vents is so much more noticeable.

Overall i'm very happy for the price i paid and would say its a good budget helmet.
I will try to remeber to update this once i've spent a bit more time  using it :D

hi there. im looking for a new lid and have seen these helmets for about 100 pound. i was wondering about the weight because my current helmet is a bit heavy and causes a bit of stress on the back of my neck. they look a very nice nice lid and this review i have found very helpful so cheers. ill keep my eye on it for your update once you have used it dsome more. here's a link to a price list: http://shop.motorcyclenews.com/Helmets__and__Accessories/Helmets/Helmets/AGV/K3/Price/20__600/Record_1/ListMerchants.aspxd

I'm getting on great with this helmet! Like said before it's comfy and light copared to my last helmet. I ride with ear plugs so extra noise isn't a problem. I would recomend it as a very good budget helmet. :LOL

I have been looking at the K3 and the s4 for my next helmet
I did prefer the K3 fit and I like the quick release strap too

 i have owned a few agv's now i have an S4 at the moment, the air flow in an agv is fantastic but i do find the wind noise tobe a bit much, for some weird reason aswell on the S4 if i dont where my buff wind blows up the helmet and into my right eye which tis abit annoying  :-\
