Its summer apparently, you decide to have a week/ weekend off work and your looking for idea's but not sure whether to follow the mass exodus fighting over a  12inch square of unoccupied beach   ::)

Look no futher now!!

Both myself and choccy have just had the weekend at the Bikers Retreat hotel in Wales, (thanks to Nige and Tiv) :D

what a fantastic place and surroundings,  a must on any bikers list of things to do if your in search of the holy grail for the best roads in the country   >:D

The "Trem Hyfryd", a luxury Bed & Breakfast hotel with a high standard of accommodation and comfort is set in the middle of the idilic countryside of Dolgellau, Gwynedd,  which offers miles and miles of roads to suit all levels of riders from novice to harderned fast group trackday riders, so caters all tastes and abilities!

The owners themselves both bikers, regular trackdayers and forum members, Nige and Tiv ride out on on a daily basis escorting various groups on known routes and all videoed on Nige's bike cams so you can laugh at the days antics in the bar in the evening  ;)

The food is 100% spot on, (a level that maybe wasted on bikers palets)  ;) but thats thanks to Tiv and the chef, another forum member and hardened trackday addict (Southerner oop north)

The daily ride outs are discussed in the morning over a full fry up breakfast or what ever takes your fancy on the menu, so you know whats happening.

The days activities begin, its then back to the hotel,  a quick shower in your en suite room and a nap in the very comfortable bed (if your getting over the hill like myself)  then its into the informal and relaxed dining room to stuff yourself stupid on what you have decided from the menu 3 course evening meal, (I highly recommend the home made apple pie!)  then retire to the bar/ lounge for a beer or 10 to allow pěss taking to commence,  normally into the wee small hours!!

There is workshop facilities for any miss haps or a little maintenance but this is Niges but no doubt he will be all too happy to assist with the use. There is also local bike dealers for parts if the need arises.

All in all,  any biker cant help but be impressed at this bikers hotel,  but this hotel aint just for bikers,  so if you decide to take the missus,  there is stuff going on for them as well locally from fell walking to slate mines   ;)

I know there always busy as you can guess but if this is for you, Check out the hotel web site for more details or info...   http://www.bikers-retreat.com/accom/index.htm  or here is you want other options..  http://www.bikers-retreat.com/

Thanks for the kind words mate.
Just a couple things if anyone does call make sure you mention the SBF, and we don't really have any facilities for under 16's.
Safe ridng

Bobbed to see Nigel/Tiv & Tim at the weekend as was staying local, have to say this place seems like the ideal stop off place if you're touring wales, in amongst some fantastic roads and scenery, facilities are great/friendly/comfotable, all you need is there, with some great helpful advice too :down

Hope the guy with the brand new tyre on with the nail in it got sorted OK guys
