Silly me...
« on: October 06, 2009, 10:59:44 AM »

Well I never thought I would be posting in here but as some of you know, I binned my bike at Rockingham on Sunday (Doh!!)  :icon_boohoo:

I'm gonna be looking for a few bits 'n bobs as I need it fixed asap (Porto in 5 weeks)  :yikes Plus I wanna take her out before that when she is done so I can test her.

So far I need:

Fairings
LH R&G
Wheels aligning
New bar end & throttle cleaning out as it's not springing back
Tank
Front brake RESERVOIR
Gear selector Sheepy is gonna modify broken one
Bracket for clocks (completely snapped off)
Clutch lever (may have spare one though)
Maybe a new screen
Front forks checking for damage
Brake discs checking for warps
Tail unit re-fitting
Paddock stand bobbins snapped so need drilling out Not gonna bother with that now
New tyres
(along with new helmet, gloves & leathers repaired) & maybe more...

I think I'm very lucky tbh, I believe the bike flipped so could've been worse

sorry to hear about your off choccy, but hopefully the damage as shown is easy enough for paul to repair and as usual the main thing is the rider is ok.

 ;)

don't think you'd need it,  the R6 swing arm bobbins bolt goes all the way through, so if its snapped off just drill it with a normal drill bit and it will come out the otherside

good luck with repairs choccy  :down  if you get stuck with discs last minute let me know i have a set that can be loaned till you can get some cheap ones in the winter  :down
Aprillia RSVR Mille, Ohlins, Brembo, Oz and lots of carbon.

rebuild going well, subframe removed, straightened and refitted, undertray repaired, battery tray repaired, the jammed throttle and cables sorted, front master cylinder also repaired and new brake fluid pot fitted.   Bike has been in work for a full steam clean

BTW, wheels and discs survived the off  :LOL
