wales - where to visit??
« on: February 02, 2010, 10:55:30 PM »
The missis n me have a week off work so were off to wales in the morning, were aiming for prestatyn then on from there.

Does anyone know of any nice scenic routes in the topside (north of wales) and is there any nice oldy worldy coastal destinations in this area??

Thanks

P.s. Were in the car as its too cold for the bikes :-(

Bit late in the day to post for answers for first thing this morning but hope you both find somewhere nice.

I would've said pop into the Bikers Retreat in Dolgellau cos the roads in & out of there are excellent!!

You could've popped into meet Nig & Tiv who run it cos they are really lovely people & bikers too!!

Its probably a bit late now but I dont quite fancy the North coast, to touristy.

Betws-y-Coed and Capel-Curig is quite nice if you havent been (its in the hills).

Portmerion and Criccieth are also ok.

Depends on what you want to do?
