Favourite Bike
« on: February 11, 2010, 04:57:41 PM »
My 12 year old son asked me the other day, which was the best or favourite bike i had owned. After boring the tits off him about all the bikes i'd had, and why i loved them all for one reason or another, i thought it would be a good idea to find out about everybody elses faves and why.

Here is my list;
Started with a unrestricted fizzy, next a RSX 100, then RD125LC (3 of them), next 350LC, then a VF400, then GSX550E, then a FZ600, next R6, and now my current bike ZX9.

Picking a favourite was hard because i've enjoyed them all for different reasons, but it would have to be a draw between the 350LC and the ZX9.

The 350LC because at the time it looked the bollocks!! it had allspeed pipes and k+n filter, and sounded fooking wicked, it smelt wicked too, that two stroke smell was heaven. ;)

Then the ZX9 because of the power, speed and wicked howl when you nail it. But also its just such a awesome all round bike.  :jump

So everybody, what's yours? :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

Ive only had 1 big bike so my history is.

Gilera Runner ST125
Piaggio X7 125
Aprilia RS125
Yamaha FZS600

Aprilia rs125 has to be the fave due to its agility and you can throw them round corners at any speed.  And the lovely smell of 2 stroke in the mornings....
02 Aprilia Mille R

I think the bikes you have owned has been done before and my list is too long anyway so I will put my fav bike which has to be the 350 lc as I had three of these I crashed two and the other I part exed which was a very sad day

I really learnt how to ride bikes on these and it was a steep learning curve

The only other bike that gave me such a grin was another Yam and that was the first R1

My current bike, 2005 R1 has to be my favourite, although I'm looking forward to my next one :jump (when I finally find it :()

SV650S, my first big bike, was also brilliant and is up there.

Started with a GSXR600, good to start on, but swiftly got bored, only kept it 6 months.

Then bought the Aprilia RSV, brilliant and brilliant again, power wheelies de rigeur :rotflmao:

Then I had my first Hayabusa, great for the long weekly trips I was doing. Added 6 points to my licence :005_ssad:

Then my all time favorite, GSXR 1000 K4, awesome machine, awesome power, awesome sound. Every schoolboys dream !!

Now I have a K8 Hayabusa, looks like shìt goes like stink  Oh yes, and another 3 points and a speed awareness course :banghead

the best bike i have owned has got to be my 91 cbr 400rr gullarm, loved that bike, and i could kill my mates on bigger bikes round country lanes! the "baby blades" also look amazing even by todays standards imo!
If it's got tits or tyres, it's bound to be trouble!
