Lee, don't get in touch with him directly now that a claim has been intimated - it could seriously damage any chances you have of a favourable (or partially favourable) settlement.

if were talking about insurance 'blame' then i am pretty certain both ins. co's will say u are 100% liable, you hit him because he stopped and you didn't.

So you were a witness?

You kept that quiet...

Right, I had a phone call off my insurers today giving me an update.
They basicaly said they were trying to get a 50/50 settelment, which to me is fair enough.
He then started telling me that they were still arguing about his hire car exspenses.
Now get this, it is beyond me, he had a pretigous car (not sure what) for 70 days in total, which is a long time really, but the best bit is that even now he still has not had the work carried out on his car.
So WFT was he doing with the hire.
My insurers are saying he should never have had the car in the first place if he was not getting the work done.
He has had investigators out to check the surpposed rear dif damage, and they said there is no way that it happed as a result of the accident (too f**king right as well)
Thety also said that they would let me know what happens from now on, they are trying for it not to go to court but to be honest, LET IT.

Jesus, this was on May 24th 2009. What the hell has made this take so long?
Even with him claiming for 70 days of car hire, say september ish this should have been sorted by now. How slow is royal mail with their letters lol Hope this gets sorted very soon Lee (and in your favour).
Have you had to renew your insurance in the mean time? If yes how did that go?
