Spray Polish - Wilkos
« on: March 22, 2006, 03:02:30 PM »
Just bought a 500ml can of Wilkos finest aerosol spray polish - £1.99 (green can in the auto section).
(Normally use Pledge Multi-Surface, but they hadn't got any...)

Tried it on tank & fairing and it does seem to be quite good!
It's thicker than Pledge, dries easily, and buffs up well.

Seems to behave just like liquid polish, don't know what it's technical contents or benefits are, but it should be alright for that quick tart-up cleaning session to get the dust & bugs off.

Try it - if you think it's crap give it the Mrs for her birthday!
After all, it's only £1.99 - so it's a cheap present!

Just used my last drop (and I mean "drop") of Autoglym - great stuff, but would only use it once a year ~ cost, and I've found that it *can* remove a little paint each time...

Bike i use turtle wax shampoo then  amway silcone polish ( get this from a bloke down the road its brilliant  never heard of them though!) then over the top with halfrauds spray wax polish.

NOTE: Dont let your 4 yr daughter help u clean yer bike, as the wax polish sprayed liberally over your seat , causes some discomfort under braking  :yikes

most of the spray polish is ok, but autoglym seems to remove all those pesky flies that try and eat there way through your nose cone without too much effort.

cheers kainy :beers
