Track Bike Advice
« on: July 06, 2010, 07:51:17 PM »

Here's my dilema.......looking at buying a track bike, but not sure wether to stick to a v-twin (have a Ducati 1098s Tri road bike) or get a cheaper 4 cylinder jap bike!!  Had dukes for 9 years, and not sure if the change in power delivery is that much of a drama to get to grips with.

Anyone got any thoughts!

P.S  know its not the same, but I'm a pretty fast road rider but a track day virgin all the same!

do any of track firms hire straight 4 1000's ? ( guess your after a thou ? )
Maybe worth trying one for 2 or 3 hundred quid , then at least it'd give you some idea ?
