what comment do you want??
hang him, send him down??? because he happens to have been a police officer involved

to be honest none of those will help IMO, possibly it could be relevant that he had previously been injured??
who knows, what i can tell you is that he will never forget that day and will constantly be reminded by seemingly unconnected occurences
just here for the FUN........

All I want is people to discuss it

I understand that in any death that is caused by an accident, there are no winners.

Some may think that the biker was partly to blame for not anticipating that the car may turn across them.

Yeah, Paxo, ya shìt stirrer?  What the fook could you possibly want from people on here?  You post a news item about a dead biker and you expect people to discuss it?  ::)  You'll be taking about tyres next.

Ban him Kerm/Sheep/etc

Sad news. As the guy involved investigates this type of tragedy every day it will probably hurt him more than we will ever know.

You might get a better response if you put forth a point of view to give something for people to discuss. Telling people to write stuff for you to read is somewhat demanding; we're not performing monkeys here for your entertainment  ;)

Before I could form a point of view, I would like to have all the facts. Such as weather conditions at the time, the road and especially the junction, time of day and speed of bikes, to name a few.

But going of what the news item says the crash investigator accepted full responsability and has never tried to squirm out of it.

And what has the officer said was the reason for the collision?

I never said I accepted it, I would need to know all the circumstances

Some on here may well be better informed as they know the area where the collision occured.

Shame some can't see past the fact that it is my post. ::)

Having checked it out on google maps (if I have the right junction) it is a straight bit of road and is tree lined.

dont understand your logic of asking for everyones views and not openly stating your own, presumably because you haven't got the reponse you want??
the Policeman is stating that it was a momentary lapse of judgement?? what else is he going to say??
and is the fact its a policeman involved which picques your interest or the tragedy??
just here for the FUN........
