A biker accused of doing 150mph has to have a retrial.

No way would he have been able to slow that quickly if he was doing 150.

What is the punishment for riding an unrestricted bike on a restricted licence?

No way on this earth is that bike doing 150mph in that vid  :nono:
Also I would suggest that on a camera zoomed in like that to keep focused on a bike doing 150mph would take a skilled camera man, what a croc, them laser guns are a waste of time and have been proven on several occasions not to be reliable, if he put his hands up to doiung 90mph and the evidence says his breaking distance is compairable to that of 89mph (as per the article) then they should do him for that.
The papers protrail of the Hi powered 65 speed machine is again a demonstration of biased reporting  ::)

Biggest load of s**te I have seen,no way on Earth he was doing that speed.Talk about injustice...the dozy twat holding the gun should be tried for fraud.

Along the same lines....mums neighbour was pulled for 32 in a 30 and was given the option of points and fine,or speed awareness course.
FFS talk about overkill,if its gonna get this petty we are all doomed, the roads will be empty of all vehicles.....................except plod cars :LOL

That could be a bad thing. As the police will be back hiding in the undergrowth with radar guns :nono:

You given up the idea of waiting to hear all the facts, then? :LOL

I agree it doesn't look like fast, but remember the angle of view of the camera can distort perception of speed. It actually looks like the camera could be a long way back (telephoto lens used, not wide angle) which means the proportional distance moving away from the camera is not large, making it look like he's going slower than he actually is. The only way to get an idea of his speed from the video is to measure his position relative to the bolts/rivets on the central reservation; does anyone know how far apart they are?

Having said all that, the camera doesn't look like a precise way of measuring the speed of a bike - if the laser hits in the centre of those crosshairs then it was only the bike for a short time, and waving from side to side as it was the beam could strike a position further forward on the bike than the first reading, hence massively incorrect reading. Also there must be a reason he thinks he could argue 90mph (which is obviously still over the limit).

It amazes me the ridiculous lengths they will go for a conviction, what a waste of time and money.

My opinion is that because the evidence has now been proved to be unsubstaniated then it should be automatically thrown out of court, case closed, a waste of my hard earned tax.

And this statement makes me even further annoyed: He was not only putting other people's lives at risk but putting his own life at risk as well. "It could have been a disaster for anyone else on the road."

Well your own video evidence proved that no-one was at risk, and there was no disaster, how can a statement like that be used in a court of law ffs.

However as he's on a restricted licence and if the bike isnt restricted to 33 rwbhp (fook off Gaz  :rotflmao: ;) ) then throw the book at him, as theres the evidence.
