Dont ask me why , but i've got it in my head i wanna swap my blade  

I just cant seem to shake the idea out of my head !!

Been out today looking at the R1's ( cracking deal on a unregistered 09 colour black one )
RSV4's ( best part ex price out of all of em )
and the daddy of em , S1000RR  

Test riding the BMW in morning , if dry , and taking a R1 out from appleyards soon as it comes back from test with west yorks police .

Suprised that the RSV4-R (cheapest one) is only £500 quid cheaper than the all singing all dancing BM .

Went to sherburn tonight on my blade and it really is stunning to look at and is more than i'll ever need , so why the fook cant i get it out of my head ??

Please talk me out of it

Just because the BMW is getting all the plaudits in the mags and is doing well in proddy racing doesn't mean it's ideal for everyone.

The bike you already have is arguably the best road bike out there that can also be devestating on track with the right rider.

I know a few with 09/10 R1's and they have nothing but praise for them.

Personally,i'm not sold on the RSV-4 - no TC and the styling doesn't appeal to me.
Others love them.

I'm sticking with the BMW though.

2nd gear,race mode then crack the throttle - quickest thing i've ever ridden.

I've had that urge as well,the problem is the lack of cash to do it

So i will just stick to my blade,it still makes me smile

mole I'd say give the track a go, I took my 08 blade on track last year and it helped me love the bike even more than I did before, gave me a lot more confidence and I now feel like I'm a bettter rider for it, yes its a little nervy when you consider binning it on track and the cost of rebuilding it, but whats to say an uninsured driver wont hit you next time you go on road!!!!!!!
Give the Blade a chance on track and it will really open your eyes to what an awesome bike it really is ans you'll prob start to use more of the bikes abilities in your road riding too.

well today i managed to get out on the R1 - what a FANTASIC engine , especially for road riding , but whats going on with the brakes !!!!! Wooden dont even come close , nearly went straight on at a couple of round-abouts  

Then i took the S1000RR out - WOOOO HOOO !!!!After about 20 miles of getting use to it ( in rain mode) i slipped it into Race mode and what a fooking motorcycle people  
The quick shifter was brilliant , the launch control gave ya confidence to fire it off the line ( but doesnt feel like its stopping the fun ) even if i couldnt tell it was doing its job ... the Brakes are by far best i've used and the whole bike just felt bang on ( though the mirrors were vibey - though other owners i spoke to at dealership said theirs didnt suffer from this )

I was gonna take the bike for 3 hours , stopping at sherburn , but i didn't wanna stop for coffee i just wanted to carry on riding  

Seemed a very thirsty beast , though that may be down to the spirited riding it MAKES you do ,
Well i better get use to it , cos i pick up my new one saturday morn
