Well it's finally finished, re-bored, new piston/rings/small end and cylinder head and runs a treat, MOT wednesday, hopefully AOK and he can make his own way to college 
Hall had a play around on it this afty even wendy

Took it for MOT this morning, but managed to breakdown on the way  seems cylinder head gasket gone, so another engine rebuild on the way

check for a warped head... at least its only the top end

It was running well, then stopped to put petrol in then it wouldnt start back up 
I have another engine and cylinder head so putting that in tomorrow

Bike passed it's MOT on 3rd December and has run fine since (apart from one of our Pikeys mates thought he'd try tuning it and it wouldn't start afterwards) has been runing fine ever since, dicided I would make it go a bit quicker for him as he was now used to it so for the steady 35 it was doing it is now capable of 50mph and amazingly it achieved this with all 15st of me on it.
Looking for a 125 project now for when he's 17 body work not a problem as that's what he's studying at college, running/non runner not a problem as long as it's a complete engine, summat like an NSR/TZR/RG or even a trial type one like a DT or similar, so if you hear of anything let me know
