So tomorrow i'm taking the plunge and beginning all the hard work over the next couple of months to get my zzr looking sexy.
Having ridden it through 2 winters and now having my own car again i'm determined to get the bike back to its former glory and only bringing it out in sunny weather. Tomorrow i'll post pics of the bike as is but here is a list of what i plan on doing, giving myself a May deadline;
1. Strip bodywork and prep for painting- clean the bike while fairings are off
2. Full service including valve clearances (with help from my trusty haines manual)
3. Fabricate a tailpiece/undertray which incorporates side panels and allows me to keep original seat
4. Paint/fit the bodywork and replace all fairing screws with shiny new ones
5. Fit C.F exhausts, zx9r master cylinder and braided hoses
6. Fit Hagon Progressive fork springs and Rear shock
7. Get rid of the heated grips and fit renthal racing ones
8. Take it for a ride and demolish them embarassing chicken strips!
Having never sprayed bike fairings before I'm doing a practice run on a battered suzuki fairing that made contact with a certain wild animal when a certain forum member took a disliking to it and crashed head on into it

I'll post regular pics of my progress (or lack of) for your entertainment and if anyone has any tips on what i'm doing or spot something amiss i could do better then let me know!
