its as finished as i'm going to do it anyway, i uprated the brakes, resprayed it, gave it a full service including valve clearances, and thats the lot. its up for sale in a few weeks :-D

wasn't intending to when i started it, but wen tthrough a rough patch and took my mind off it by buying the zx9r  :005_sbiggrin: can't really justify having both. however i am seriously thinking bout keeping it to ride through the winter. pics to come soon i got loads  :jump

I got a ZX9R - good bike fast and fun also can tour mine has been all around Europe - been through 10 or 11 countries gone over mountains {2500 meters 8202 feet} gone through blizzards in the Alps and through the heat of Almeria, crashed in Switzerland and faced monsoon rain in France - always got me home. Yep that bike has done me proud.

Good Bike

One tip if the Carbs freeze clean/replace the coolant filter - usually that is an indication the bugger is blocked I always change mine each service.

One thing mine will not start now bugger fuel I think maybe fuel pump or relay gone on strike.

thanks richie - i've been starting it on cold mornings and letting her run for a bit as i've heard carb freezing is bad on these bikes - but i'll go a step further and do what you said when the weather gets more than a little nippy lol. had awful carb freezing when i  125 on L plates a few years back and it pretty much crippled the bike  :-\

The ZX9R uses the coolant which is hot when the bike is running  {obviously} and then runs some pipes to carry your hot coolant to the carbs to warm the fuel before induction.
You will find the coolant filter in this area of the bike and when it blocks it restricts the flow of hot coolant to the carbs - hence they freeze - simple!
But took a little while for me to figure out - otherwise a simple enough bike to work on.
