If you want decent ferry times and decent digs, then book really really really really really really really really really really really really early.  We book about 18 months in advance and then the ferry times can be a bit pants.  Do it yoof, it's the best event in the world

But how much do you really get to see? Or is it the ride round thats best?
Its like I rather watch racing on telly if its the racing I wanna see. Coz otherwise you see one corner from a distance, if you know what I mean?

Yeah i booked two weeks after this years and i got pretty pants sailings but definitely go for it, totally epic times will be had! Book it as soon as you can i think its only a 10 quid deposit. :005_sbiggrin:

VTRdan - I'll look out for ya and give us a shout when were over there, don't worry about any problems with bikes they get sorted out quick, a mate i went with had his ducati 999 rear subframe and exhaust welded up by one of the electric bike teams mechanic so never short of people to help you out!

leanittiluloseit- To get the most of watching the racing i would say you have to move around and watch from different corners, there are some amazing places to watch where you are inches from bikes going 170+ mph with no fence or barrier. Granted the bikes whizz past but the experience of being there is fantastic and certain spots you see the bikes for a good while coming and going away from you.

Certainly watching and riding the course is a 50/50 thing of which is the best, definitely get a cheap radio so you know where the race is up to and when to expect the lead riders too.
