I am getting a set of textiles just in case of crap weather and a nice venture bike rack for the ducati. Wondered if anyone from here was going.  :jump

Went this year for the 2nd time, Dan and it was a proper blast. There's always something to see and do. Get yourself an OC map of the island is my best advice. You'll get round the island much easier. I can recommend having a watch from Kirk Michael. There's a WI snap tent there all day and the view is brilliant. Bray Hill is a must too.

Get to the ferry early. Seats fill up fast. And take some butties for the journey. Snap on the ferry is a rip off.

I went last year for the first time and it was amazing!!! So i'm going back again this year, i'd look at getting your ferry asap, last time i looked when i booked most of the popular days to sail had sold out.

Definitly worth a watch from Ginger Hall, Bungalow on Mountain, Creg ne bar and sulby straight. And as Skin says definitly Bray Hill!

Mad Sunday is worth going out for but expect the mountain to be opening and closing all day, we went out early most mornings and some mornings you wouln't see another bike on the mountain but as the day gets on it gets busy and accidents close it for short periods.

It is ace tho, i can't wait and am counting down the days till i'm on that ferry!! :jump :jump

How far ahead do you need to book everything would you say? (as in how long do I have to stop fannying about and make up my mind!?)

If you want decent ferry times and decent digs, then book really really really really really really really really really really really really early.  We book about 18 months in advance and then the ferry times can be a bit pants.  Do it yoof, it's the best event in the world
