var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":true}; My gearing has been changed on the RSV and I`v been trying to weigh up the pros and cons of down gearing it further than standard. Got directed to this website, and its BANG ON

Handy if your not sure what gearing is on your bike and cant be bothered to get dirty and check  :005_sbiggrin:
Like I said, mine was bang on!

Even tells you how many links the chain will need and loads of other stuff too

Might be worth a sticky for the peeps. Its handy and free!
Might be a re-post but..pfft

It looks more complicated than it is, but some pointers

If you run other than std tire at the rear (eg 55 instead of 50profile) Adjust it

By default it will set max RPM at I guess the recommended shift rpm not the max. So if you want to see what each gear will max out at make sure you change the rpm value or refer to the second graph down which is just for terminal gear speeds

Make sure you have selected the right set up when viewing your results, there are three named STOCK, CURRENT and CUSTOM they are all customisable though if you dont need to compare to stock

Enjoy

Hoped it would be of use.

If nothing else you can tell the bloke down the pub that he is talking BS and his TL will not do 198mph  :nono:
(unless of course he has been stupid enough to go up 3 on the front and down 3 on the back so it accelerates like a overloud spaz chariot  )
