Please help me start my racing in UK.
« on: December 24, 2011, 02:29:47 PM »
Hi Guys
My name is Ragu and  I'm from India and I'm a racer here but India is not that much a good country for racing,I cant get a good exposure here.
So i want to race in the British Super-bike Championship and i have a few questions regarding that...

1)can an Indian race in BSBK or should i hold a citizenship?

2)I'm planning to race in the super-stock 1000  championship,How much money should need for an year for racing ?

3)can i race as an individual with my private bike or should i join a team?

4) i race with 250 cc bikes in India can i directly race in the super-bike category in BSBK?

5)If I'm racing in BSBK which is the best place to stay ??

a lot of questions.

one thing i do know, you have to be very talented to race in either of them and bsb is at there at the top with the rest of them.
a LOT of money will also help and as for places to stay? anywhere is good.

TBH if you have to ask these questions you are nowhere near competing at BSB level or superstock

For Superstock 1000? No - I would imagine the average club racer spends that in a year.
Superbikers - with great power comes great stupidity
Supermotoerers - with less power comes irresponsibility

Why are you mentioning Euros, when India uses Rupees and we use Pounds

Why didn't you mention the Rand or Dirhams

Or why the f**k are you spamming

I hate the way spammers have created a situation where anyone out of the ordinary, who may genuinely be abit clueless and seeking advice will get shot down rather than helped (as the biking community should be).

Just like this guy.

Put effort into advice assuming he`s "real"

Or assume he`s a spammer and dont risk wasting your time/making a fool of yourself

I doubt money would be your most pressing problem. It would cost a minimum of £200,000.
I thought you had to get within a percentage of fastest lap to even race, and unless your really good you'd struggle to even get on the grid.
There are plenty of club races to enter. They are much cheaper, you'd get to learn the UK tracks, and if your good a BSB team may spot you for the following season
