the fireblade would be my choice too

although i've never ridden a 954 - i have had a couple of 929 good bikes apart from the jumpy throttle at low speed/revs but i'm sure this was sorted out on the 954 model.

Well, today I took the plunge and bought a Honda CBR954RR Fireblade. It's registered 03, has 15,800 miles on it and is in black and yellow. It comes with a black tinted double bubble screen, crash bungs, rear seat cowl and alarm. The dealer is doing the 16,000 mile service (valves) and putting a years MOT on it for £3495, which I thought was a decent deal. The bike is in excellent condition all round and the tyres look fairly recent.
Here's a picture of the actual bike:

I am slightly biased....

I love GIXER's for me the light weight was an obvious advantage as easier to handle (especially with not having a great deal of strenght in my wings)

I never tired of the extreme sport look and feel....its truly awsome  :clap
always had that cheesey grin when i turned the key and started it up!
I would say if your planning to commute for long periods it may not be too practical due to strain on wrists, but I soon overcame this.

I added a number of electrical bits to my K7,  Radio comms system, heated gloves and socks, & charger for my phone and thought this would put strain on the battery (or rectifier) but it didnt have any issues

for my next bike I am strongly considering a Triumph Daytona (a little more pricier...), I would have got another GIXER  but wanted to experiance something different.

As for Kawasaki's there 'ok' I guese but just dont have that edge for me, in terms of budget, I always find that they are reasonably priced tho
Oh so crispy & delicious
