My bike
« on: January 17, 2012, 08:47:39 PM »
Hi all, not really a poster on here but though I would ask peoples opinions. I have finally got all the parts on my bike painted they way I want them but I don't like the look of the can on the bike.  Also I'm not keen on the standard rear hugger, anyone have any suggestions as to which can/hugger would look best for this colour scheme?

Well at the moment the two brothers can I have is ridiculously loud, as nice as it sounds when giving it the beans, when I am pootling through town or gunning it on the motorway, it is REAL annoying!

And I guess I must thank you for the stickers then haha, Katch told me to put them on the bike   :005_sbiggrin:

I like your 'Tarts Handbag'

BTW, they are some awesome looking chicken strips on there :rotflmao: Just watch out for Colonel Saunders !! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I have left the original hugger on mine, because I can't find a decent looking carbon replacement.

If the noise of the can gets on your tits, wear ear-plugs. I love the sound of mine, its like angels singing !! :rotflmao: And by f*ck is it loud !!!

It's been called a few names before but never a tarts handbag!  But hey, each to their own, I like it and I wanted to colour match to be different, always see the white and blue gixxers about and I fancied something that I liked!
Spoiled a good bike?  Personal opinion, everyone's welcome to one though I guess.

I do like the look of the Jardine pipe on the Gixxers, doesn't the Jardine pipe for the thousand have a fake pipe that's there just for looks?  Either way, the twin pipes look awesome

No, both pipes are connected. The K7 was the first of the twin pipe models, and they connect direct to the balancer box, which is also the only sound damping that it has.

However, when they raced the K7 in BSB, one of the pipes was a dummy that was just fitted for the regulations (something to do with silhouettes from 3 angles being the same as the road bike without the road ancillaries)

Which just goes to show that the other pipe is just 'surplus to requirements'

Ahhh gotcha   I thought I had seen the dummy pipe somewhere.  I wanna hear the Jardine pipe in the flesh, I've heard it's loud and looks the beans!
