bike won't start!
« on: January 29, 2012, 03:37:18 PM »
hi superbike forum members,
i'm in the process of getting my track bike sorted (GSXR600K3) after the winter lay off and crash damage at rockingham, last summer(  broken collar bone!). anyway charged the battery, tried to fire her up, nothing. just a loud click from the electrics/wiring center under the seat. any ideas chaps?  think the battery is good,  though not 100%. the engine is not turning, so sure its an electrical fault. have disconnected all the connectors wired up to the display panel/speedo unit, to fit new race fairing but have reconnected the looms as they were. so basically i'm in the shìt. bike sick, got 4 days in almeria on track with FE in feb. any thought/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Loud click = starting relay is OK
Just cause you charged the battery does not mean it as enough charge to start the bike so the battery could well be fucked
Fuses ok?
Engine Kill Switch ok
Sidestand cut out switch

Any fault codes?

Start with a new battery
