Nitro Nori
« on: February 03, 2012, 09:42:41 AM »
I have heard that Nori Haga is racing in BSB this year.

Can anyone shed any light on this, as I have looked at the BSB website and there is no mention of it.

Thanks in advance

Confussed now where does that leave things?

Tommy Hill and Haga on the short circuits?
Hutchy for the roads? When he is fit? After his accident last week it is unlikely he will be OK for BSB. I do feel for Hutchy, I hope his career is not finished. :icon_boohoo:

But that could make some sense. That Haga will replace Hutchy.
I did read in MCN that Shaun Muir did have talks with Haga!

Not saying it is right not saying it is wrong but I am not convinced until we have official confirmation.
But I would like to see Haga in BSB.

IN a shock turn of events Noriyuki Haga has been signed by Swan Yamaha for the 2012 British Superbike championship.

Haga had originally been rumoured to join the British series on a Ducati 1199 Panigale, but our source close to the deal has revealed that the Japanese star will return to Yamaha machinery for his move to the BSB championship.

Where this leaves Anthony West is unknown, as it appears that Haga's team have scooped the Yamaha deal from underneath the Australian.

In regards to Ian Hutchinson, Haga's appointment to the Swan Yamaha team is reminiscent to when Gregorio Lavilla took James Haydon's place at Airwaves Ducati in 2005. However, Hutchinson will remain with Swan Yamaha for the road racing season.

The Japanese rider has a long standing relationship with Yamaha, having taken success in the Japanese superbike championship before his debut on the World Superbike stage in 1998.

His debut in WSBK wasn't 1998 , unless a wild card ride doesn't count .

Look forward to seeing him though , hopefully scream can sort some more free tickets  ;)
