Been a while since been on here and also since been on track! After selling the trackbike I invested in a track fairing for the kwak and for your viewing pleasure here is a video of me sticking to my mates back wheel for that "moto gp" style camera shot.....well that was our plan but still got a couple of not a bad close up shots  :LOL

Evening all. I'm going to start using my bike to commute and I'm thinking about buying some motorcycle jeans (draggin jeans, hoodjeans etc) with armour. Just wondering if anybody on here recommends a certain brand for protection/cost/comfort. I dont want to have to put my one piece on to ride to the office and even my two piece is a pain in the arse to change once I get there :LOL

Due to moving house and generally not being able to have enough time off work to justify keeping a dedicated track bike I've decided to sell her and use the kwak for track & road.

It has V5 so could go back on road, I have the rear number plate with bracket and brake lense as it had daytime MOT when I bought it but I let it run out as dont use it on road.

Standard Engine with 10,184 miles - oil change after every trackday although I haven't done it since the last one
Fresh Paint Job where I work in a body shop done over the winter (designed it myself and it turns alot of heads in the paddock if your a bit of a tart about ur bikes like me  ::))
Full Akrapovic titanium race system
Pazzo short levers (originals included)
Maxton front fork internals (according to the guy I bought it off but no paperwork to back this up but I can tell you it feels planted and gave me ALOT of confidence through the corners)
Brand new genuine honda discs & pads (as I'm writing this they're still in packaging but will fit before sale)

Pirelli Supercorsa BSB's that have done Brands,Mallory and Rockingham in fast group

Non biking talk / Front Brakes

Afternoon all. My brakes stopped working at rockingham yesterday on my cbr600rr3 I  bled them at the circuit twice but no better. Rotax looked at it and it looked as though the top piston was not moving, so today I've taken the calipers apart and cleaned the pistons, one of the pistons had a tiny lump/debris etc that would not budge with brake cleaner, could this be the reason? I put it back together after a good clean but it still does the same which basically whats happening is the lever comes back and hits the grip with NO STOPPING EFFECT WHATSOEVER then pump it a few times and it brakes fine but only once, carry on another few feet and again the lever comes back all the way until you pump it again?????? Would I be right in thinking a new piston/seal set would be the next step considering 7 out of 8 of the pistons were spotless or would it be faulty caliper, or anything else anybody could advise?? Cheers

Cracking day, got black flagged, went into pits with a bee in my bonnet only to be pleasantly surprised telling me they're moving me to fast group  :yikes first time in fast group but I think I held my own ok, overtook a fair few and got overtaken consistently by 4 very fast riders but all in all I was happy with my efforts  :clap






A quick video, check around 7.45 for the round the outside overtake at the hairpin which ties in with the 1st pic above, the guy came looking for me after that.....not to offer me a knuckle sandwich thankfully, but to compliment me on a clean move round the outside :LOL also u can just make out the black flag at the end and me flapping my left hand about in disapproval  ::)

Trackdays / Daytime MOT

I've been considering selling my road bike and using the trackbike with a daytime MOT for the road. It has a V5 but could anybody tell me specifically what else needs doing (lights/horn etc) Cheers  :thumbsup:

Just got back from a nice day at brands yesterday and most of my video footage has some severe sound problems and also keeps freezing every 10 seconds or so (only momentarily but still annoying nonetheless) has anybody here experienced this and if so found a way around it? Cheers Chris

Anyone know if this is a hard/time consuming job to change from road to track fairing on a 2007 zx6r? seen a set on ebay local to me and have been considering using the kwak on track for a bit this year see if its better/faster then the honda
