Was on my way to meet the wife and kids in Inverary this morning for a wee day out, them in the car me on the bike,i gave them a good head start and left the house, stopped and filled up with petrol and headed up by Loch lomond sun's out lovely day thumbsup :thumbsup:Overtook a line of cars leaned the bike into a corner and thought this does'nt feel right, not another puncture says i to myself, leans into the next bend and its not wanting to go over, deffo a puncture, pulls into the next lay-by and sure enough a flat rear,i don't even think i have done 300 miles on that tyre and thats the 2nd time its been punctured Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Anyway phoned the RAC who came out and put a temp repair in it so i could get home thumbsup Took the wheel off and took it to a bike shop for repair. They could'nt do it as it was only 41/2 inches away from the last one :yikes  New tyre ordered Undecided

Its the first time i have ran michelins on this bike and picked up 2 nails in 300 miles, never had a puncture on this bike in nearly 4 years, unlucky or what Shocked Shocked

A biker in a van stopped to see what the problem was,but could not help, nice one anyway mate :thumbsup:Shame on the fifty or so bikes that passed by without even stopping changed days indeed 005_scry

And what reputation is that then Shocked

Just normal roads Alan, have not had one in the last four years, just wonder if i'm unlucky or the michelin pilots are softer tyres than the pirellis i always use, hence easier to pick up nails Undecided

I run Michelin pilot power 2ct's for many years, and power ones of late, had the odd puncture, but no more than with Pirellis or dunflops or Bridgestone. I think you have just been unlucky mate

Funnily enough i was told that yesterday to expect a 3rd :yikes :yikes the wife deffo would not be happy,i did learn something yesterday, never forget to carry your membership card with the RAC,the guy had a right moan at me not having mine and as my wife had hers  but was 40 miles further up the road he was not happy at all and said bikers were commiting freud all the time and i could have been anybody, which was true as i had no way of identifying myself :rotflmao: :rotflmao: he said that if i needed to have been picked up,they would not have done it until i produced my card....................can't see what the problem was as it was at my house where i could have then produced it :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  He says it happens all the time a bike breaks down,he turns up and theres 5 bikes but only one member with the RAC whos bike is the one broke down,he then starts asking technical questions about that bike to try and catch them out Roll Eyes Roll Eyes He asked me what the tyre pressure was :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Still i usually always carry it and will from now on just to stop the moaning thumbsup thumbsup

Alan i wish you would just write what you think mate instead of being so cryptic thumbsup thumbsup

i was taking the wee wee bill

I know you were so was i thumbsup thumbsup

you have mentioned a few times about your "gang" life.

I think i mentioned it once on here thumbsup Hatred of the cops started there,by the way thumbsup fookin loved bricking their motors for the chase who needed bikes for the adreniline rush in themdays :rotflmao: who says the 70s were bad old days thumbsup thumbsup

or maybe they know you off here  :rotflmao:

I  have met alot of nice people of here, but if this is a reference to my other thread, don't flatter yourself it has fook all to do with you thumbsup thumbsup

I gave up a long time ago worrying what people thought of me on here thumbsup thumbsup

So anyway according to you in jest because of my gang past when i was in early teens i somehow deserved  to have my tyre punctured twice in 300 miles thumbsup

OK Alan nice one thumbsup thumbsup

no Bill you read far too much into my "cryptic" message.............i was taking the pi$$ full stop - i would hardly have offered an insight as to the punctures cause round here otherwise........and i certainly dont think anyone deserves a puncture (unless you proper upset me  giggle)

as for threads that i think might about me?? no idea what your on about but dont worry anyways -  its a "forum" so i dont take whats said on here very seriously at all - might be worth taking a step back yourself as i certainly dont know enough about you (or many others) to have a dislike of you?? its called takling the pi$$

dont worry about it bill as i wont.............

Think i might have found the cause,a woman along the road has been having an extension built and new windows fitted,so i said to my kids the next time they were along the street see if any nails are lying on the road out side that house thumbsup  My youngest daughter found 7 on the road and my wife found 3 when she was walking the dog Shocked Shocked Shocked  Barstewards,i couldn't prove it though Undecided  The second puncture looked as if the nail was embedded then fell out angryfire
